Update to iOS 11.0.2 with your iPhone

Apple has released iOS 11.0.2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to the public today. Apple did not release any betas to developers before iOS 11.0.2 was released. This update comes one week after iOS 11.0.1 was released. iOS 11.0.2 is a minor point release update with bug fixes and security improvements for iOS 11.

In the previous software update, iOS 11.0.1 fixed a problem in iOS 11 that caused problems with the synchronization of Outlook.com, Office 365 or an Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016 in Apple Mail. And iOS 11.0.1 also contained performance improvements in the iMessage app Drawer, Springboard, and App Explorer.

iOS 11 added several major features to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch such as document scanning in Notes, the new Files app, Do Not Disturb While Driving, indoor mall and airport maps, lane guidance for Maps, Live Photos editing, new multitasking features in the iPad, a new Messages app drawer, payment integration in Messages, a newly designed Control Center and a smarter version of Siri.

What Is Included In The iOS 11.0.2 Update?

Apple specified the bugs that iOS 11.0.2 fixes. The bugs that have been fixed in this update include a problem where crackling sounds occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices. It also addresses an issue that causes some photos to become hidden. And it fixes an issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open.

If you want to download and install iOS 11.0.2, go to the Settings app > General > Software Update on your device. Or you can plug in your device to your computer and install the update through iTunes. I will update this post once I find out more about what other fixes the update includes.

Do you plan to upgrade to iOS 11.0.2 right away?
